Shadow Karate Squad instructors are current members of the EKF National squad or have been previously and trained/competed all over the world.

Shadow Karate Squad has its own fully equipped Dojo with matted training area for safety of its students. It has hundreds of training aids and equipment to keep classes fun and engaging. We have a spacious waiting room and viewing area for the comfort of parents including snack and drinks, TV. A dedicated receptionist ready to answer all your questions and queries along with a fantastic and modern communication set up. Shadow has enquiries from all over the Midlands and students travelling far based on our reputation and recomendations. We specialise in teaching students with experience of bullying within schools and encourage positive behaviour throughout our shadow family to help improve confidence, build self worth and mental stability.

Shadow welcomes students of all ages, abilities and backgrounds and focus' on each as an individual to encourage personal development and unique qualities.

Our students are taught to have respect and discipline for each other and with this mindset they develop long and lasting friendships.

All instructors are fully qualified and enhanced DBS checked. All have experience competing and coaching around the world. Our instructors are experienced with all ages and are fantastic with very young shy children.

Through encouraging students to set goals we help them achieve success.

Sport clothing such as T-shirt and jogging bottoms are most suitable for training in Karate.

No jewellry or metal to be worn inside the Dojo for safety reasons.

Classes are conducted in bare feet. Medical socks may be worn by students with any foot conditions.

Bring a non-fizzy drink in a sport bottle.

None during your trial period.

Karate suits are available to purchase on your 3rd lesson.

Hand mitts, foot pads and gum shields are required before your first grading.

More optional equipment is available (usually for higher grades).

FURTHER TRIAL LESSONS (IF REQUIRED) ARE £7.50 FOR SHADOW KARATE SQUAD.

STUDENTS CAN ENTER COMPETITIONS WHEN THEY ARE READY. COMPETITIONS TAKE PLACE ALL OVER THE UK AND ARE BROKEN DOWN INTO CATEGORIES. EACH STUDENT WILL COMPETE AGAINST STUDENTS THEIR OWN AGE AND SIMILAR GRADE. THE EARLIER YOU START COMPETING IN YOUR KARATE JOURNEY THE MORE EXPERIENCE YOU WILL GAIN AND THE MORE YOUR CONFIDENCE WILL GROW. OUR CHIEF INSTRUCTOR - SENSEI EMMY - STARTED COMPETITIONS AGED 6.

Students take belt tests when they are ready usually every few months.

Cost start at just £35.

A licence holds a students insurance and a record of their grades (belt tests).

Your first licence will cost just £35 (discounted for after school clubs)

Please note: Anyone practicing a martial art must have insurance and it is also a requirement of being a member of the National Governing Body.
